Coaching vs. Financial Planning and Our Initial Consultation

What Is The Difference Between Financial Planning and Coaching?

First, we believe traditional Financial Planning is the source of much of the distress and stress
that people develop in their financial lives.  Why is this the case when it seems so logical to hire a
planner to escape our financial difficulties and to produce financial peace-of-mind?  The answer
lies in what financial planning actually is:

Financial Planning has developed into a marketing tool by the financial services industry
to ultimately sell financial products.

The reason for this is quite simple.  Despite what these Wall Street behemoth financial firms may
advertise, it is our belief that the industry is still very much commission driven.  That means that
a financial product must be sold in order to produce a commission…Wall Street’s ultimate goal.

In fact, recent industry rules have dictated that planners, who work for such Wall Street firms,
when selling commission products, must state to their client that the broker is representing the brokerage firm and not the client when selling such products.  These planners are clearly not operating in a fiduciary manner when working with an investor.

When you work with a Financial Coach, there will be no question that your advisor will be working for your best interest.  Your Financial Coach…as a Registered Investment Advisor…has an industry responsibility to act as a fiduciary.

Second, traditional Financial Planning does little to educate investors and guide them through the emotions and instincts that are at the root of poor investment decisions.  The Financial Coaching Program in not only about managing money…but managing behavior and expectations, as well.

How Can We Help You?  The Initial Consultation

When you are ready to take control of your financial life, give Wealth Bridge Advisory Services, LLC a call to make an appointment.  During our first consultation we will take a very critical look at your current portfolio and its performance and develop a clear understanding of your present expectations.

While you are assessing our credentials and capabilities, we will be determining if you are a candidate for the Financial Coaching Program.  In other words, we want to know if you are “coachable”.

The coaching program is designed for people who are tired of not understanding their investments and not understanding what their present advisor is recommending…and why he or she is making those recommendations.  Our goal is simple:

To help you gain an understanding, to learn to simplify,
and to take control of your own financial destiny.
